Alexis Waite

Alexis is very excited to share her talents with the students at Stilla Dance. Alexis has been dancing since she was 12 years old, and has studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre styles of dance over the years. This will be her third year of teaching dance. Her teaching philosophy is that all students are capable of reaching high personal achievement in dance while also learning discipline, obedience, teamwork, developing a strong work ethic, and forming friendships. She believes that each student is special and valued, and the goal of dance education is progress and personal growth as opposed to achieving “perfection.” In addition to teaching dance classes, Alexis also choreographs for local musicals and show choirs, which she has done for the past four years. Alexis has a passion for working with children of all ages, but is especially fond of our littlest blessings, as she specializes in instructing the toddler and early elementary ages. Alexis currently attends SUNY Geneseo, where she studies Birth through 6th grade education, with a concentration in theatre that also allows her to study dance at the college level. Besides dancing, Alexis is passionate about singing, assisting with local theatre productions, and loves to be crafty. Alexis is thankful to her parents, dance instructors, and friends for always supporting and encouraging her dance journey.Alexis is very excited to share her talents with the students at Stilla Dance.
